How to trade option

1. Select the relevant stock

The borrow rate for short selling varies for each stock.

2. Click on "Options"

3. Select the expiration date of the options

4. At the bottom of the screen, select "Single Leg" or "Strategy" Covered Call, Covered Put, Cash-Secured Put

Note: You can sell short options (both call and put options) only when you have relevant underlying stock positions or when executing Cash-Secured Put strategies.

5. Select "Call" or "Put" options

At the bottom, open the options menu and you can choose "All", "Call", or "Put".

If you select "All", you will see quotes for both call and put options.

Alternatively, you can select "Call" or "Put" to view only call option quotes or put option quotes, respectively.

6. Input the price and number of contracts, then submit the order

i) Covered Call

Open position: Buy a covered call combination.

Close position: Sell a covered call combination.

When you hold the underlying stock, you can directly sell related call options. The system will automatically combine the contracts into strategies at the end of the trading day.

Covered Put

Open position: Sell a covered put combination.

Close position: Buy a covered put combination.

When you hold a short position in the underlying stock, you can directly sell the related put options. The system will combine these into strategies automatically at day-end.

Cash-Secured Put

Open position: Sell put options.

Close position: Buy put options.

Note: You need sufficient buying power or cash in your account to open a Cash-Secured Put position.
