Stock Transfer-In Guide (General)

Warm Tips

  1. It generally takes 3–5 business days to transfer in Hong Kong stocks or A-shares. Transferring in US stocks takes at least 5 business days. The actual time depends on when the delivering broker processes the outgoing transfer.
  2. Webull Securities does not charge fees for incoming stock transfers. However, the delivering broker may charge outgoing transfer fees. Please check the fee schedule with your delivering broker.
  3. To ensure a smooth transfer process, please:

  • Ensure sufficient available cash balance in your delivering securities account to cover transfer fees and related charges;
  • Enter a share quantity that does not exceed your actual holdings and does NOT include margin positions.

Process of Transferring Stocks to Webull Securities

The process includes two steps:

Step 1: Notify Webull Securities to receive the stock transfer

Step 2: Notify the delivering broker to send out the stocks

1.2 Fill in Transfer Information

1.2.1Select Receiving Account

The system will default to your current securities account as the receiving account. Futures accounts and virtual asset accounts do not support stock transfers temporarily.

1.2.2 Fill in Delivering Broker and Account Information

  • Delivering Broker: You may select your broker from the list, or search by name or code in the input box.

If your broker is not listed, select Other Broker. The system will then prompt you to enter the broker name, broker code, contact person and contact number. Our back office will contact the delivering broker based on the information you provide.

  • Delivering Broker Account Number: This indicates the account from which the assets will be transferred out.

You may find this number in your delivering broker’s system and enter it here.

1.3 Fill in Stock Information

  • Stock Code and Name: You may search by name or code.

  • Share Quantity: Enter the actual quantity you hold. Do NOT include margin shares.

  • Cost Price: You may enter the cost price calculated by your delivering broker, or leave it blank. If left blank, the system will use the closing price of the transfer-in date or the previous trading day as the cost basis. If entered incorrectly, you may contact Webull Securities for revision after the transfer is completed.

1.5 Contact the Delivering Broker

After submitting the transfer request to Webull, you must also initiate an outgoing transfer request in your delivering broker’s App. Once the delivering broker accepts your request, the shares to be transferred will be frozen and settled with us. Upon completion of settlement, the stock transfer is finished.
