TI Cloud Decline Means Insider Profits Down To CN¥670k

Listen to the news

TI Cloud Inc. (HKG:2167) insiders who acquired shares over the previous 12 months, can probably afford to ignore the recent 20% decline in the stock price. After taking the recent loss into consideration, the CN¥532.8k worth of stock they bought is now worth CN¥1.20m, indicating that their investment yielded a positive return.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

TI Cloud Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Executive Chairman & CEO Qiang Wu bought HK$533k worth of shares at a price of HK$2.22 per share. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (HK$5.01), we still think insider buying is a positive. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.

The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. By clicking on the graph below, you can see the precise details of each insider transaction!

This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
