U.S. stocks traded mostly higher this morning, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 200 points on Monday.
Following the market opening Monday, the Dow traded up 0.44% to 45,364.88 while the NASDAQ rose 0.03% to 20,955.34. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.21% to 6,382.37.
Leading and Lagging Sectors
Utilities shares climbed by 1.3% on Monday.
In trading on Monday, industrials stocks fell by 0.7%.
Top Headline
Shares of Americas Gold and Silver Corporation (AMEX:USAS) fell around 13% on Monday after the company released earnings results for the fourth quarter.
The company reported fourth-quarter losses of 14 cents per share, versus market estimates of earnings of 4 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $37.064 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $33.229 million.

In commodity news, oil traded up 2.7% to $102.33 while gold traded up 1.5% at $4,561.90.
Silver traded up 1.2% to $70.645 on Monday, while copper fell 0.1% to $5.4915.
Euro zone
European shares were higher today. The eurozone's STOXX 600 rose 0.4%, while Spain's IBEX 35 Index rose 0.3%. London's FTSE 100 surged 1.1%, Germany's DAX gained 0.2% and France's CAC 40 rose 0.4% during the session.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed mostly lower on Monday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 falling 2.79%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declining 0.81%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.24% and India's BSE Sensex dipping 2.22%.
Economics
The Dallas Fed manufacturing index will be released today.
