Listen to the news

China Castson 81 Finance Company Limited (HKG:810) insiders who acquired shares over the previous 12 months, can probably afford to ignore the recent 12% decline in the stock price. After accounting for the recent loss, the HK$33.1m worth of shares they purchased is now worth HK$37.3m, suggesting a good return on their investment.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

China Castson 81 Finance Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent purchase by Man Chan Lam is the biggest insider purchase of China Castson 81 Finance shares that we've seen in the last year. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (HK$0.12), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn't tell us much about whether insiders might find today's price attractive.
