Caterpillar Posts Upbeat Q1 Results, Joins Garrett Motion, Wesco International, TTM Technologies And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Thursday

U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 400 points on Thursday.

Shares of Caterpillar Inc (NYSE:CAT) rose sharply after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results.

Caterpillar reported quarterly earnings of $5.54 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $4.62 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $17.400 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $16.612 billion.

Caterpillar shares jumped 9.2% to $884.25 on Thursday.

• IMPINJ Inc (NASDAQ:PI) surged 18.2% to $141.14 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter sales results and issued second-quarter guidance above estimates.
• Novocure Ltd (NASDAQ:NVCR) gained 18% to $14.08 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly sales results and raised its FY26 sales guidance with its midpoint above estimates.

• Garrett Motion Inc (NASDAQ:GTX) gained 17.7% to $24.12 following upbeat quarterly results.
• Hertz Global Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:HTZ) gained 16.6% to $6.53 after the company announced its affiliate, Oro Mobility, partnered with Uber Technology to power autonomous robotaxi and driver-led strategic fleet services.
• Ranpak Holdings Corp. (NYSE:PACK) gained 15.7% to $4.5600 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly sales results.
• Sprouts Farmers Market Inc (NASDAQ:SFM) gained 15.7% to $82.29 following strong quarterly earnings.
• Wesco International Inc (NYSE:WCC) surged 14.8% to $350.62 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY26 guidance.
• Glaukos Corp (NYSE:GKOS) gained 14.8% to $134.42 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY26 sales guidance above estimates.
