Listen to the news

Asia-express Logistics Holdings Limited's (HKG:8620) value has fallen 21% in the last week, but insiders who sold HK$1.4m worth of stock over the last year have had less success. The average selling price of HK$0.18 is still lower than the current share price, or in other words, insiders would have been better off holding on to their shares.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Asia-express Logistics Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Wing Choy, for HK$955k worth of shares, at about HK$0.17 per share. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (HK$0.12). So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels.
