While JLogo Holdings Limited (HKG:8527) shareholders have enjoyed a good week with stock up 17%, they need remain vigilant. In spite of the relatively cheap prices, insiders made the decision to sell S$12m worth of stock in the last 12 months. This could be a warning indicator of vulnerabilities in the future.
While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.
Notably, that recent sale by Li Xi Tobias is the biggest insider sale of JLogo Holdings shares that we've seen in the last year. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (HK$0.23). When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. It is worth noting that this sale was 85% of Li Xi Tobias's holding.
