Insiders of ISP Holdings Getting Good Value On Their HK$8.32m Investment

Simply Wall St·07/01/2026 22:55:53
Listen to the news

Last week, ISP Holdings Limited (HKG:2340) insiders, who had purchased shares in the previous 12 months were rewarded handsomely. The shares increased by 11% last week, resulting in a HK$12m increase in the company's market worth, implying a 14% gain on their initial purchase. As a result, their original purchase of HK$8.32m worth of stock is now worth HK$9.47m.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

ISP Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by insider Tin Lung Chong for HK$8.3m worth of shares, at about HK$0.14 per share. We do like to see buying, but this purchase was made at well below the current price of HK$0.16. While it does suggest insiders consider the stock undervalued at lower prices, this transaction doesn't tell us much about what they think of current prices.

You can see a visual depiction of insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last 12 months, below. If you click on the chart, you can see all the individual transactions, including the share price, individual, and the date!

Insider Ownership Of ISP Holdings

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. It's great to see that ISP Holdings insiders own 52% of the company, worth about HK$62m. Most shareholders would be happy to see this sort of insider ownership, since it suggests that management incentives are well aligned with other shareholders.
