Insiders Re-Evaluate Their CN¥5.40m Stock Purchase As Regal Partners Holdings Falls To HK$129m

Simply Wall St·08/18/2026 23:11:30
Listen to the news

Insiders who bought CN¥5.40m worth of Regal Partners Holdings Limited's (HKG:1575) stock at an average buy price of CN¥0.05 over the last year may be disappointed by the recent 11% decrease in the stock. Insiders invest with the hopes of seeing their money grow in value over time. However, as a result of recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth CN¥3.67m, which is not what they expected.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Regal Partners Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when insider Shu Yui Wong bought HK$5.4m worth of shares at a price of HK$0.05 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than HK$0.034 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when an insider has purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price. Shu Yui Wong was the only individual insider to buy during the last year.

Does Regal Partners Holdings Boast High Insider Ownership?

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. Regal Partners Holdings insiders own 62% of the company, currently worth about HK$80m based on the recent share price. I like to see this level of insider ownership, because it increases the chances that management are thinking about the best interests of shareholders.
