The company has a market cap of $78.5 billion and operates through two segments: Oral, Personal and Home Care; and Pet Nutrition, and offers toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, bar and liquid hand soaps, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, deodorants and antiperspirants, and other products.

CL shares have rallied the broader market over the past year, surging 30.1% compared to the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 13.5% surge. However, in 2026, the stock has grown by nearly 26.6%, outperforming the SPX’s 12.3% rise.

Focusing on its industry benchmark, the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) has risen 21% over the past year, underperforming the stock. In 2026, XLP has grown 18.4% and has also lagged behind the stock.
